“I value crochet with good reason: It is a very simple technique that is capable of producing very sophisticated results.” – Judith L. Swartz

I’ve completed the crochet bag. I added a crocheted rose and knitted leaves for decoration and am quite pleased with the final result.

It’s colourful and practical, washable and, above all, individual!

The patterns for the rose and leaves came from a book given to me by my daughters called ‘100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet’ by Lesley Stanfield.

It’s the first time I’ve used the book and I found all the patterns very simple to follow, whether crochet or knitting. The rose could just as easily have been a peony, anemone, gerbera or daisy! You’ll find them all in this beautiful book if you want to have a go.
