My eldest daughter came to visit today with the idea of making some bunting for her new rented flat. Bunting is always cheerful and very popular at the moment. It would add some much-needed colour across her lounge window.

She brought with her a library book with instructions to make various styles of bunting, blue fabric and bias binding. I supplied the know-how (although I’ve never made bunting before!), extra fabric, thread and sewing machine. We also raided my stash of buttons and ribbon!

Two to three hours later ……..

….. bunting that she’s really pleased with and she made herself – with a little help from Mum!

It was really easy to do and a fun project for a Sunday afternoon. You might like to have a go yourself.

The book we used for inspiration was one of a series by Search Press; Twenty To Make. It’s called ’20 To Make: Bunting and Pennants’ by Kate Haxell.
